Grade II listed house, Buckinghamshire
The client wanted a strong connection to the garden. The house also needed re-planning. Its linear shape meant walking through rooms to get to other rooms
Our proposal was to eliminate the linear plan by introducing an external glazed link between rooms, which meant the client could appreciate the garden from every part of the house. We re-orientated the house with a new main entrance from the car parking area, and created a new garden with a 'rill' water feature and weir.
The design was accepted by the Conservation Officer and granted planning permission without any conditions!
